Web Design Process
Initial Meeting:
We meet and talk about your business and what you need in a website. We'll chat about what kinds of customers will be reading your site, marketing efforts, and general design options. We'll talk about the size and special features you'll need for your site.
Questionnaire:
We'll give you a questionnaire so you can further detail your site needs.
Domain and Hosting:
Every website must have a domain name (ex. www.companysite.com) and a hosting service (a host is the place that houses your website and makes it accessible to the web).
DOMAIN - Purchase a domain, or, if you have a domain, we'll need your access info.
HOSTING - Purchase hosting, or, if you have hosting already, we'll need your hosting access and ftp info. When purchasing hosting, we'd recommend purchasing a "Linux shared hosting account." If you're also purchasing a domain name from us, set up your hosting in the same account as your domain.

Initial Mockup:WebHub Design will draw up an initial mockup of your proposed home page. Mockups are not working web pages; they are simply drawings that will look like your final page. A mockup explores placement of photos and text, typefaces, page columns, etc. |
Feedback on Mockup:Using the initial mockup as a starting point, we'll discuss what you like, what you don't like, and other features you'll want to include. |
| Mockup Finalization:We'll go back to the drawing table to finalize the mockup. This is where we need to make sure your website architecture is right. Things to pay particular attention to are:
Content:At this point, we'll need to collect the text and images for on your site. If you don't have much to start with, we can always buy images from our inexpensive stock libraries, and we can whip up some quick text to get us started. |
Coding:Coding (programming) is done once everything is ready. At this stage, we'll bring the mockup to life. A temporary website will be available for you to view progress. We encourage feedback. Basic sites take a couple of weeks to get through the coding stage. |
Site Becomes Live:After everything is done, and you've had a final look and given us your approval, we'll make your site live on the web, fully working and ready to send your customers to. |
Maintenance:After your website is up and running, there are always a few adjustments to make as your products and services change. WebHub Design can be retained to make ongoing changes to your new website. |
