Design Workflow
- Initial Meeting - We'll meet and talk about your website. We'll discuss your business, customers, and marketing efforts, and will determine exactly what should go into your website. We'll discuss the page content, the look and color scheme, and any special features you'll need.
- Agreement Letter - We'll e-mail you a letter that will detail our discussion.
- Ready? - Once you say, "go," we'll start working!
- Domain and Hosting - Set up your Domain (www.companysite.com) and Hosting through us. Call and have us do it, or Click Here to search & purchase them. (Get a "Linux shared hosting account").
- Photos, Illustrations, Graphics, and Videos - Gather anything you want us to use and e-mail it to us. We can also purchase quality stock images.
- Textual Content - We can use text from your current website or new content that you write. We can also whip up some quick text to get us started.
- Initial Mockup - We'll draw an initial design. Mockups are not working web pages; they are simply working drawings that explore placement of photos, text, fonts, and colors.
- Your Review - We'll e-mail you a copy of the mockup and ask you to look at it, then let us know if you'd like us to make changes. We'll go through as much reworking and e-mailing back and forth as it takes to get this right.
- Mockup Approval - Once you say it's ready, we'll start programming.
- Coding (programming) - We'll start to bring the mockup to life. We'll make the menu and special effects work, create all the pages, and include basic search engine optimization (SEO), images, and links.
- Your Review - We'll create a temporary website for you to view progress, and we'll e-mail you several times to get your approval to move forward.
- How Long will it take? - It depends. If you do your homework (Step 2 - assembling the content), basic sites take only a couple of weeks to get through coding.
- Final Approval - We'll ask you to look at the site one last time and give us your final approval.
- Image/Effects Purchase - If your website has any special art, photos, videos, or special effects, we'll make any purchases at this time.
- Final Testing - We'll make sure the site works and is ready for your customers.
- MAKE LIVE! - We'll upload your website to its final location and make it live.
- Announce it - WebHub Design will announce your new website on Facebook and our Blog. You should also announce it on Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail your customers. Add your website to business cards and business communication.
- Maintain Your Site - We can be retained to make ongoing adjustments as your products and services change.
- Market - Ask us to do ongoing search engine optimization or marketing to help people find you.
